Supporting Our Communities
McCarthy’s provides significant support to communities and families with the McCarthy Partnership Program. This program focuses on 3 major aspects of community involvement: school donations, scholarships, and the uniform assistance program.
School donations:
McCarthy partner schools benefit from our school donation program, which is intended to help schools improve the quality of education for all students. These contributions may go towards additional uniforms, supplies, school projects or assistance programs within the school. McCarthy's is proud to give back to the community and make a positive impact on students' lives each day.
Scholarships:
Each year we award a deserving student with a McCarthy Scholarship to help finance post-secondary opportunities. Our business has awarded over $300 000 to deserving students since the inception of the program.
Uniform Assistance Program:
McCarthy’s works closely with partner schools to provide needy families with school uniforms to ensure that every child has a basic uniform no matter what their income. Since the inception of this program, we’ve donated very significant sums to Canadian families.
In all of the above cases, McCarthy’s was a leader in establishing these kinds of programs and in supporting our community. Every one of our employees is very proud of the positive impact our business has made over the last 50+ years in this regard.

RJM is proud to announce its sponsorship of Father John Redmond’s music program on its field trip to Cuba. RJM donated school supplies to Cuban students as well as uniform clothing for children at a Cuban orphanage.

RJM has donated over $30,000 worth of clothing to Heart to Heart Haiti. Among many other things, Heart to Heart Haiti provides education and nutritious meals to hundreds of kids. We are proud to be able to help the people of Haiti especially now in their time of need.

We are pleased to announce the donation of 26 skids of clothing to Missionary Services (MSC Canada). MSC Canada is a charitable organization that supports Christian activities around the world. These items will be sent to Chitokoloki Mission Hospital and school in Zambia.

RJM has donated 80 binders to Grade 9 students at Thistletown Collegiate as part of their type two diabetes awareness campaign in conjunction with Humber College nursing program.
We are very proud to give back to our local community by being a part of this very important initiative.
